OVA collaborates with global industry leaders aiming to innovate their businesses through Spatial and Immersive Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Virtual Reality. Our team partners closely with leading academic institutions to create advanced solutions that make XR accessible to everyone. Our robust content creation tool, StellarX, allows anyone, including those without coding skills, to design their own immersive environments. Similar to how Minecraft enabled 70 million users to become creators of 3D content, we believe the increased accessibility of XR will lead to hundreds of millions of new content creators. In fact, StellarX paves the way for easily accessible XR content creation for both businesses and individuals.

Real Story: Tactik360

Unknown

For firefighters, training in realistic settings can be expensive and challenging to safely reproduce, which limits the amount of practical training time they get each year. To improve accessibility to this training, we partnered with Tactik360 to develop a virtual environment that reflects the real-life challenges firefighters encounter daily. Designed in StellarX, it features a range of adaptable scenarios requiring firefighters to collaborate and complete designated tasks. After several months of training, the Tactik360 team observed a marked enhancement in both responsiveness and teamwork.

Real Story: Hydro-Québec

Unknown

In partnership with Ellicom, we collaborated with Hydro-Quebec to create an immersive simulation Space that mirrors the significant hazards encountered by workers in high-voltage settings. Utilizing StellarX, we integrated virtual reality technology with instructional design knowledge to enhance the overall learning experience, making hands-on training at Hydro-Quebec safer and more accessible. For instance, one of the Spaces tasks trainees with measuring wire voltage using appropriate tools and safety gear to avoid potentially lethal shocks. After six months of training, the energy company saw firsthand the engaging and transformative impact of immersive learning experiences.

Real Story: Ville de Québec

Unknown

In order to enhance response times and foster collaboration among different departments, we partnered with the City of Quebec to create realistic training environments that mimic the crisis management scenarios frequently encountered by Firefighters, Paramedics, and Police Officers. Utilizing StellarX, we developed a virtual reality experience that facilitates joint training for interdisciplinary teams, enabling them to practice together more frequently and from various locations in a cost-effective way. This immersive hands-on training exposes teams to high-risk situations that would be challenging to recreate in real life. After a year of training, the City of Quebec team observed a marked improvement in collaboration across functions, as well as increased information retention and engagement, thanks to the practical nature of the training.
