Microservices optimization

Deliveroo

We enhanced Deliveroo's landing page, which is a critical enterprise-level service, to achieve better response times and scalability. When Deliveroo transitioned from being a platform focused solely on restaurants with just a few hundred items each to accommodating large retailers with thousands of items in their catalogs, we improved the menu and catalog ingestion process. This shift exceeded the capabilities of the traditional Apache Kafka event flow.

COVID scaling for French National Health Service

Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Maladie

After initially designing the fault-tolerant and scalable infrastructure for the Ameli.fr French National Health Service in 2017, several modifications were made by hosting companies to eliminate what they deemed "unnecessary" scalability features. This led to the service crashing as soon as COVID was officially announced in France in March 2020. In response, we quickly revamped the scalability using whatever resources were immediately available from the hosting provider, successfully restoring the site in less than a day. Subsequently, we delivered new infrastructure specifications and provided assistance to the contracting authority in creating a private cloud infrastructure with fault tolerance, enabling zero-downtime blue/green deployments and multi-level fault tolerance.
