Our approach involved creating mobile applications for both iOS and Android that connect to the Doghouse (Den) using Bluetooth Low Energy technology. Oriented Soft managed the complete hardware and software design and development process for smart intercom systems, integrating calling systems, various card readers, cameras, and security features into a cohesive and efficient unit. The goal of this project is to create a user-friendly application that simplifies the entire brewing process. It is designed to log all activities for monitoring and review. The app we developed allows users to fully manage the beer brewing process remotely via Bluetooth or WiFi, eliminating the need to be physically present near the equipment. A prototype of the brewing machine was built and connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero W using a secure WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) channel that automatically switches for optimal connectivity. This setup makes it easier to monitor and control the brewing process, as well as plan and select recipes based on style, alcohol content (ABV), bitterness (IBU), and color (EBC).
