At the beginning of the project, our client lacked a system that met the company's needs. A large volume of data necessary for complex calculations was kept in an Excel file. Over time, the accumulation of data slowed the file's performance, and the introduction of new records heightened the risk of data loss due to excessive reliance on Excel. Additionally, there was an issue with data consistency; employees had to be very careful when entering data, as it was often abbreviated, leading to potential errors. The lack of standardized terms and symbols resulted in discrepancies during analysis. Upon reviewing the daily operations of our client's business, we identified several common processes carried out by many employees, including entering data into the Excel file, analyzing the data via intermediate sheets, and manually generating reports. Insights gained from our scrum meetings enabled us to develop an optimal solution to enhance internal processes. Ultimately, we created a custom web application that, when paired with a MySQL database, organized the information previously stored in Excel. By establishing a uniform terminology and aligning workflows, we reduced the chances of errors in generating statistics. The application also features a comprehensive analytics tool that allows for any type of data compilation.
