Foodsi

Foodsi is a Polish startup dedicated to reducing food waste by linking restaurants with consumers. It currently has around 200,000 users in Poland and enjoys more than 14 million daily app sessions. The main objective of the client was to motivate people to combat food waste. Our team handled the complete redesign of the mobile app's User Interface (UI). Greater Manchester Combined Authority

Greater Manchester Combined Authority has become the first region in the UK to introduce a groundbreaking Early Years app designed to provide young children in the area with a better start in life. This app was launched as part of the city-region's Digital Blueprint initiative, which aims to harness digital transformation to better meet the needs of residents. The goal was to digitize the paper-based Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) used to assess the development of children up to 2.5 years old. The previous assessment method was manual, leading to a process that could take up to two weeks, making it time-consuming and inefficient. To address this, we initially conducted workshops to ensure a unified vision, utilizing Hopes & Fears and Story Mapping techniques. For the development of the Early Years web and mobile application, we took advantage of Mendix, a low-code platform, to expedite and improve efficiency in the solution delivery. We implemented NHS Login and NHS Identity for authentication and hosted the microservices architecture on Azure using Kubernetes to ensure scalability and optimal performance. Technologies used include Mendix (low-code), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and CosmosDB.

The Client is a global network of professional services based in the UK, operating in over a hundred countries and ranking among the largest in its field. Business requirement: The primary motivation was a strategic choice to transition all services to the cloud to minimize the time and effort spent on infrastructure maintenance. Solution: The legacy system was previously hosted on virtual machines (VMs) in an on-premise data center. Our team assessed the existing architecture to determine the most effective migration strategy, opting for a Platform as a Service (PaaS) approach using Azure App Service. We also replicated the Azure SQL database to ensure data synchronization. For Disaster Recovery (DR), the application was deployed across two regions. Technologies used include Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and Imperva Incapsula WAP SaaS tool.
