Realty Capital Receives “A-1 Support” While Saving

Unknown

When Realty Capital's internal IT assistant left, the company found itself without a dedicated IT solution. They attempted to manage with a single IT resource, but the absence of a support team proved challenging. These difficulties, along with the onset of the pandemic, prompted Realty Capital to turn to Novatech. By year-end, Vance assessed their IT expenditures and discovered some troubling information. “We reviewed our P&L and found we had spent $90k attempting to enable remote work, yet we had nothing to show for it. We hadn’t invested in new hardware or software and were still using Windows 7, operating in a makeshift manner.” A Better Solution Emerges The Novatech team upgraded all employees to Windows 10 and Microsoft Office, implemented Mimecast for email, and provided each staff member with a new PC or docking station. “Their technicians also assisted us in learning how to use these new tools, including switching from Zoom to Teams,” Vance remarks. “Everything was part of the package.” On the support front, Vance notes that Novatech was immensely helpful. “Being the IT liaison between the IT team and our staff was consuming all my time,” she states. “The Novatech team manages all IT needs and offers 24/7 support. Each computer has a Novatech icon that staff can click for assistance.” Enhancing Outcomes and Financial Performance “Our IT company should be the expert. I want to explain my issue, and they should provide the solution.” According to Vance, Novatech delivered on that and more. “We aren't being charged for every single ticket either,” she adds. “Novatech’s services are included in our fee. I look forward to the end of the year when we can review the P&L and see the positive impact.”

**The Challenge**: Prior to partnering with Novatech, Toland Mizell Molnar faced difficulties with data backups and equipment management. They aimed to implement hourly data backups and establish a schedule for equipment replacement. Consequently, they began searching for a Managed Service Provider to assist with their IT challenges. After consulting with several Managed IT Support Providers, they found Chas Arnold, Novatech’s VP of Managed IT Services, to present the most thorough and well-structured proposal. Chas and the Novatech team conducted a Network and Security Assessment for Toland Mizell Molnar, after which the results and recommendations were thoroughly discussed, leading to a solid action plan. Novatech then offered Toland Mizell Molnar a structured IT strategy that aligned with their budget and provided reassurance. **The Solution**: Once they decided to work with Novatech, Toland Mizell Molnar was paired with a Technical Account Manager who assisted in formulating a strategic IT plan to address their challenges. This partnership was crucial as it kept them well-informed about ongoing developments. James Molnar, Managing Partner at Toland Mizell Molnar, commented, “Novatech builds great relationships and the project managers invest time in understanding your business and its positive impact.” Regular communication between Novatech and Toland Mizell Molnar facilitated smoother IT operations. As a result, Toland Mizell Molnar began managing their IT proactively and encountered significantly fewer issues. **The Result**: “Novatech is an excellent Managed Service Provider. With IT services, sometimes you aren’t aware of your needs until it's too late, but Novatech helps prevent that through proactive planning,” remarked Molnar. Toland Mizell Molnar values the technical support from the help desk and appreciates the solid guidance provided by the engineers.
