689,135 More Visitors for FinTech SaaS Website
When our client reached out to us, they were already a well-known entity in the FinTech sector. However, they were experiencing a significant drop in business outside the tax season, despite the increasing trend of online tax filing. Additionally, their approach was rather unconventional; instead of adhering to a typical long-term SEO strategy, they chose to collaborate with us only from September to March, then pause until the following September. While this may not be ideal for SEO, we were still able to double the website traffic. Thanks to the foundational work completed by the client’s previous SEO firm, we skipped the usual audit and focused on analyzing the site’s performance, which unveiled two critical issues: a loss of traffic on commercial keywords and the presence of outdated, low-quality content. To address these issues, we devised a content and keyword strategy along with a link-building plan. Over the six-month period, we successfully averted an anticipated 35% decline in traffic and a 50-60% drop in revenue. Although the progress was solid, we aimed for more. The client presented us with a new challenge: to achieve at least a 30% year-over-year increase in traffic. To meet this goal, we continued the existing strategy, which involved creating new content for 2023, refreshing outdated material, building new links, and implementing further on-page optimizations. The results exceeded our expectations, more than doubling last year’s traffic. What initially seemed like an impossible task turned into a well-executed plan that saved the project. After celebrating this success, we returned to work, eager to attain even greater achievements.
