Vuze Camera — IoT Powered App for Remote Control

Human Eyes

INTRODUCTION This product is the inaugural consumer 360 3D camera, featuring a new dual-camera that empowers users to create and share immersive experiences in both 360° and VR180 (3D) photo and video formats. Our goal was to develop a mobile application for Android and iOS that allows users to control the camera and harness its full capabilities by offering various shooting modes and a robust editing tool. SOLUTION Our team established a reliable connection between the camera and the mobile application. By utilizing a socket connection and the Protobuf data transfer protocol, we effectively transmitted commands from all mobile platforms to the device. RESULT The NIX team developed an app with a standout feature: the capability to convert 3D/360° footage into 2D videos. The application supports video playback in Cardboard or Little Planet mode and allows live-streaming to platforms like YouTube and Facebook. The video editor provides numerous options, including artistic filters and effects, color adjustments, and the addition of audio.

CarSoup — The Marketplace to Buy or Sell Vehicles

CarSoup

INTRODUCTION CarSoup.com is an online automotive marketplace that assists sellers and more than 20,000 dealerships across the U.S., connecting buyers with all models of vehicles for sale. CarSoup also provides users with automotive reviews, buying and selling advice, tools for comparison, finance, and insurance. The client calls his project an American dream. It started with a small idea and turned into a solution that helps people find cars around the country. He came to us to bring his innovative ideas to life and improve people's lives. SOLUTION We developed websites and applications for iOS/Android. Users can buy or sell a car, search by make, model, and many more popular options, find dealers near the user's location, etc. Admins can manage users and dealers, watch the statistics, and connect third-party service apps. Dealers can review the list of leads that come from the website and external sources and view user's statistics. RESULT NIX provided a fully-equipped system that offers a user-friendly car-buying environment with the most extensive selection of local vehicles and dealers online. Integration with advertising platforms makes targeting easy for private sellers to locate buyers.

Cost-effective AWS Solution for Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity Company

INTRODUCTION Our client is a cybersecurity firm that provides a comprehensive platform to identify, prevent, and react to cyber threats in real-time. Their goal is to help organizations maintain security in an increasingly complex digital landscape. However, as their platform developed, the company encountered challenges within its existing infrastructure, such as limited visibility and control, frequent misconfigurations of cloud resources, and scalability issues, all of which jeopardized performance and security. SOLUTION To address these challenges, the client transitioned their platform to AWS and collaborated with NIX to facilitate the expansion. Our team reconstructed the platform architecture utilizing Amazon EC2 for enhanced flexibility and scalability, and Amazon EBS to ensure high real-time performance. We implemented data resilience through S3 backups in three different locations, along with RDS and OpenSearch for effective data management and caching. Security was prioritized, adhering to industry best practices, including IAM-based authentication, VPN access, encrypted data layers, and AWS Network Firewall. Utilizing AWS CloudFormation, the system could be quickly restored in another availability zone if necessary, ensuring ongoing operational continuity. RESULTS The outcome was a high-performing, secure, and future-ready AWS-based platform. Our team ensured that the entire migration process was seamless and low-risk, allowing the client to concentrate on their core cybersecurity services. The new infrastructure enhanced cost-efficiency through automated backup lifecycle management and performance optimization. Robust access control and monitoring systems significantly reduced the risk of data breaches and diminished potential legal and reputational costs. Most importantly, the client now enjoys a stable and resilient system capable of automatically addressing failures—ensuring uninterrupted operations.
