Nutrition Month is an annual national campaign that takes place every March, where leading companies in the nutrition industry unite to emphasize the significance of making informed food choices and developing healthy eating habits. Although this campaign has been ongoing for many years, the 2014 initiative sought a fresh concept that would extend beyond just March and foster long-term engagement with the public. Our team conducted internal brainstorming sessions and proposed a unique recipe tool that would stand out from existing market offerings by not only providing healthy recipes endorsed by dietitians but also offering users detailed nutritional information for each recipe. We named this project "Cookspiration." The idea was enthusiastically received when pitched to clients, and it was decided to launch in March 2014 with a new brand, website, and iOS app. The tools were ready and officially launched on March 1, 2014. The response was extremely positive, leading to dietitians nationwide demonstrating the app on news programs and television. By May 2014, Cookspiration had gained such popularity that it became the top download in Apple's "Food & Beverage" category. Apple reached out to us for specialized branding for their App Store to further promote the product, and the app was recognized as one of Apple's "Best New Apps." By the fall of 2014, the app's success necessitated the development of versions for iPad and Android, along with a continual expansion of the recipe collection.

ExacList Hiring Platform

Principle Partners is an executive search firm focused on Asia, particularly in financial services and emerging technologies. In 2016, the Singapore government sought a new method for hiring qualified professionals and approached Principle Partners to help design and develop a new recruitment system. Consequently, we collaborated with both Principle Partners and the Singapore government to create this system. We organized a series of video conferences to define the project parameters. Given the 12-hour time zone difference, these calls took place at either 11 PM or 2 AM. We deemed it necessary to accommodate the client’s schedule and ensure that their entire team could participate and provide valuable input. With the client’s feedback, we outlined the specifications for the new system. Broadly speaking, the system enables candidates to register, create profiles, state salary expectations, upload their CVs, and communicate with potential employers. Candidates also answer a set of personal questions. Using algorithms developed by Principle Partners, the system ranks the candidates’ qualifications. Additionally, we collaborated on creating a brand for the 'ExacList' product, aiming for a minimalist logo in ‘vermillion’ to symbolize good fortune. We developed the brand mark and supporting documentation for styling and branding guidelines, ensuring these were reflected in our designs for ExacList. The timeline for the system's development was tight due to the Singapore government's requirements. We allocated additional staff to the project, and our team worked extra hours. Ultimately, we successfully built and launched the entire system in just over three months.

In 2017, the Government of Ontario initiated changes to its services and chose to shift from an existing program to a new service model. This transition required rebranding a website, which was funded through the program, to ensure the information was presented to the public in a fresh, modern, and engaging way. The new website also needed to be multilingual, compatible with all devices, and easy for administrators to manage and update. Although the previous website had an established brand, it was becoming outdated. The client aimed to refresh the brand without completely overhauling it, and we collaborated to create a new brand style guide that aligned with the updated vision for the website launch. After finalizing the brand and style guide, we proceeded to the website development stage. The client needed a Content Management System that was robust enough for their technical requirements yet user-friendly for daily updates. We evaluated various Content Management Systems together with the client and ultimately selected the one that best met their needs. Once the design was confirmed, we created a prototype of the new website using an interactive design tool, allowing the client to visualize its appearance and functionality before any coding began. After completing the prototype, we received client approval and built out the design in the Content Management System. Finally, we transferred content from the old website to the new one, which launched successfully. In November 2017, the website received the Best Overall Website award at the eHealth Leadership Awards!
