Integration of Tourinsoft API with Drupal

Unknown

The Client Tourisme Montréal is an organization focused on enhancing tourism in the lively city of Montreal, Canada. It operates several websites that address various tourism elements, such as sports events, meetings, and a primary tourism hub. Monarq has consistently collaborated with Cossette over the years to carry out essential and intricate tasks related to implementing changes, enhancements, and new features. The Challenge Tourisme Montréal's existing Drupal sites depended on a custom third-party service and API for updating and publishing products and offers, which had become obsolete. To address this, the organization opted to migrate to Tourinsoft, a widely-used tourism information system by the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec. The current Drupal sites were closely tied to the outdated API, and Monarq needed to devise a strategy to replace this synchronization with the distinctly different and complex Tourinsoft API. The new system needed to serve as a reliable foundation for ongoing integration between the Tourinsoft API and all of Tourisme Montréal's Drupal websites. The Results As a trusted partner involved with Tourisme Montréal, Monarq was contracted by Cossette to handle this crucial project, with the organization placing complete confidence in their capabilities. Monarq closely collaborated with Tourisme Montréal to grasp the specific needs of each site and carefully planned the transition. Despite the challenges, Monarq remained dedicated to achieving positive outcomes. The Milestone Achieved The migration to Tourinsoft for the sports events and meetings websites was carried out seamlessly, owing to Monarq's proactive strategy and effective project management. This integration facilitated continuous updates and publishing of tourism products and offers, thereby enhancing Tourisme Montréal's ability to showcase its diverse tourism offerings.

New Technology Ensures Ongoing 3D Medical Imagery

NeuroRx

**Client Overview:** NeuroRx consists of specialists in medical imaging who expertly manage MRI-related research activities. They utilize sophisticated image analysis methods for accurate data delivery. Their analyses are performed in 3D to effectively correlate information with anatomical structures. Images are adjusted and aligned for optimal accuracy and precision. **Project Background:** A vital technological aspect of NeuroRx's operations was approaching obsolescence. Their in-house tool for viewing 3D scans in a web browser had been developed some time ago using Java Applets, a technology that was no longer supported and would soon become unavailable in newer web browsers. The NeuroRx team aimed to ensure their technology remained viable for the future. **Challenge:** Given the component's critical role in their operations, it required a complete rebuild. Although a temporary workaround was in place, it was cumbersome for the staff, necessitating a more efficient and permanent solution. The NeuroRx team reached out to Monarq for assistance because their business operations could not persist without a suitable replacement. The Monarq team collaborated with NeuroRx’s medical imaging experts to reconstruct the browser-based 3D image viewer using an open-source JavaScript library (itk-vtk-viewer). **Solution and Outcomes:** Monarq dedicated time to grasp NeuroRx’s business needs and the significance of the tool to their success. They delivered the replacement component with ample time for comprehensive testing and integration into the operational workflow, ensuring the transition to new technology was seamless.

Monarq Ensures Smooth Continuation of E-commerce

American Library Association

| The Client The American Library Association (ALA) is a U.S.-based non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for libraries and library education. Established in 1876, it is the longest-standing and largest library association globally, boasting 49,727 members. Their website includes an e-commerce section where users can buy books, posters, digital products, and more. | The Challenge As an e-commerce retailer, the ALA relies on a fulfillment center to deliver products to customers. A fulfillment center is a third-party service that manages the entire order fulfillment process, including order picking, processing, packaging, and shipping. Upon discovering that their fulfillment center would be closing in a few months, the ALA recognized the need to act swiftly. | The Results Monarq’s extensive knowledge and proficiency in Drupal allowed them to step in quickly. Given that the ALA’s e-commerce segment was vital for its income, it was essential to maintain uninterrupted service for its customers. With only two months to complete the project, time was of the essence. A new fulfillment partner was chosen, and the Monarq team worked closely with them to develop a completely new integration. The transition was completed on schedule and within budget, ensuring that there was no disruption in service for the ALA's customers.
