Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., a trailblazer in the craft beer sector and one of the earliest breweries to focus on hop-forward beers, has been satisfying beer enthusiasts for over 40 years while remaining a family-owned business. As devoted fans and long-time consumers of their products, we at MJ Bratton Consulting are thrilled to apply our services and knowledge to support and enhance this iconic brand. We have been tasked with creating, implementing, and evaluating two specific initiatives for Sierra Nevada. The first initiative involved using our social media platform, Human Powered Movement, to host a month-long photo competition. The goal of this campaign was to further establish Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. as the leading craft beer brand associated with an active outdoor lifestyle while boosting digital engagement and visibility among consumers. The campaign achieved over 45,000 impressions through various posts, stories, submissions, and promotions, generating authentic user-generated content for future use. The second initiative is a hands-on, interactive marketing event designed to further connect with Sierra Nevada’s diverse target audiences. The event aims to enhance brand relevance in a meaningful way, foster brand loyalty, and attract new consumers in a relaxed yet active setting. We are in the process of finalizing all details of this activation to ensure it aligns with Sierra Nevada's mission, goals, and strategic initiatives. The event is scheduled to take place in Spring 2021 in Charlotte, NC.

The main objective of the Catawba Riverkeeper is to maintain an abundant supply of clean water for everyone in the 26-county Catawba-Wateree River Basin of North and South Carolina. Since the appointment of a new Executive Director in April 2019, the organization has experienced significant and deliberate growth. To effectively seize new opportunities ahead, Catawba Riverkeeper has partnered with MJ Bratton Consulting for guidance on strategic planning, including program evaluation, development, and launch (encompassing operational modeling, profit and loss analysis, and product positioning), as well as partnership expansion and staff recruitment. These initiatives are being undertaken in anticipation of an exciting new chapter for the organization, marked by the construction and opening of a new headquarters on the banks of the Catawba River near Charlotte, NC, in 2021. We are excited to offer our services, leadership, and expertise to this important organization, aimed at creating a safer, healthier, and more active environment for the entire river basin in the years to come.

Outdoor Retailer Product Launch

Located in North Carolina and operating globally, Summit Coffee Co. has created a premium, café-quality instant coffee to include in their expanding franchise café offerings. The convenience of instant coffee is particularly appealing in outdoor settings for various lifestyle reasons. To effectively introduce their brand and products, especially the new instant coffee, Summit partnered with MJ Bratton Consulting, targeting the Outdoor Retailer (OR) show in Denver, CO. As the leading trade show in the outdoor industry, OR draws tens of thousands of attendees, including top brands, influencers, athletes, and thought leaders at each of its biannual events. Our services concentrated on developing a detailed strategic marketing, branding, sales, public relations, activation, and attendee engagement plan before, during, and after the event. Both Summit and OR management immediately recognized the value of our efforts. By the second day, Summit secured exclusive rights to be the coffee vendor for future OR shows. We were excited to present Summit's brand and products to the industry, engaging over 35% of all attendees (which is significantly higher than the average for a first-time exhibitor). Summit Coffee Co. Owner and CEO, Brian Helfrich, captured the essence of the launch in his journal entry HERE. We look forward to building on the strong momentum established alongside the dedicated and visionary team at Summit Coffee Co.
