We engaged Mirumee to refine our code, enabling us to create a reliable e-commerce system. **SOLUTION** What was the extent of their involvement? Patryk, the Development Lead at Mirumee, serves as our main liaison. He introduced us to the team members assigned to our account and outlined their respective expertise. **How did you start working with Mirumee?** We first contacted them due to their outstanding open-source platform, Saleor. It is an exceptionally well-architected technology that aligns closely with many of the ideas we had for our platform. Our next logical step was to learn about the team behind Saleor. We were delightfully surprised to discover they have a consulting division specializing in Python and Django development for e-commerce. Engaging them to collaborate with us seemed like the optimal approach to realize our vision for the platform. **What is the current status of this partnership?** Our collaboration began in June 2018 and is still ongoing. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK** What evidence do you have that illustrates the impact of this collaboration? They completed the code audit in just two days and provided a comprehensive action plan. This allowed us to develop a budget and assemble a team ready to address the remaining development tasks. A significant advantage of this partnership is that our engineering team can come into the office each day to find high-quality code prepared for them. Mirumee's initiatives to establish several toolchains have helped our team improve different build processes. Refactoring our test suites has enabled us to adopt their design patterns and apply them throughout the platform. Overall, they assist us in executing updates and delivering a superior product. **How did Mirumee perform in terms of project management?** They are excellent at documentation whenever we request something specific. Since they are based in Poland, coordinating overlapping times for collaboration has been challenging. However, we've established a daily stand-up meeting at 8:30 a.m. EST. I’ve found it most effective to specify our requests, and they readily provide what we need. It has been our responsibility to organize the communication channels so far. They differ from most consulting firms in this respect. **What impressed you most about them?** They are dedicated developers who follow through on their commitments. I consider Patryk a true thought leader in Python and e-commerce codebase development. It’s challenging to find a better team than Mirumee for projects like this. Their approach of acting as an extension of our team has proven to be successful. **Are there any areas where they could improve?** I would like to see enhancements in their project management by improving communication between stakeholders.
