Enhancing efficiency and compliance
Established in 2019 by CEO Ben Wilde and CTO Dan Hook, Loud and Clear Technologies was created to enhance emergency medical training through straightforward, spoken instructions. Prior to collaborating with us, the company had made strides in outsourcing the production and design of their wearable device, ICOE (In Case Of Emergency), which provides clear and calming instructions to assist individuals in cold water survival. However, they faced challenges in software development and lacked a functioning prototype.
What we provided After determining the necessary design and functionality, we worked closely with their hardware team to swiftly develop a working prototype using off-the-shelf components. This was essential to ensure the software was ready before receiving the factory-produced prototypes.
It quickly became evident that there was a need for a similar device that could function effectively across various environments and industries. This led to the introduction of AVA, the Audible Voice Assistant, which offers immediate spoken guidance for diverse situations, including workplace checklists and emergency protocols.
Demonstrating our capability in both hardware and software, we assisted Loud and Clear throughout the entire product development journey. Our contributions included developing firmware, creating software tools for hardware diagnostics, supporting EMC testing, and securing CE certification.
We also created a cloud-based Hub that enables users to easily customize, monitor, and update instructions, as well as gather data remotely and evaluate checklist completion.
The outcomes In just 18 months, Loud and Clear Technologies has launched a digital platform and unveiled two groundbreaking products. They have also successfully conducted a trial with South West Trains, marking a significant milestone for the company.
