Modernizing Web Technology Infrastructure
When CHSI sought assistance from Lotus Labs, they aimed to upgrade their web technology to enhance the development and delivery of insurance products to their clients. Their previous setup consisted of a single monolithic .NET application, which integrated both the user interface and data access functions into one platform. This system struggled with the complexity of frontends built using React (JavaScript libraries for user interface development), hampering CHSI’s ability to innovate. Consequently, CHSI reached out to Lotus Labs to help decouple the frontend from the backend of their system. This separation would not only provide CHSI with greater customization options but also enable concurrent work on both ends, as changes in one module would not disrupt the other’s code. Essentially, this project required a complete overhaul of CHSI's existing system. Grasping both CHSI's immediate and long-term objectives, alongside transitioning away from outdated technologies, proved to be quite challenging. Nevertheless, Lotus Labs’ collaboration with CHSI yielded positive results across multiple aspects by implementing a microarchitecture integration approach that enhanced CHSI’s software development, frontend, and backend processes. With our strong expertise in current and emerging technologies, Lotus Labs successfully achieved all of CHSI’s objectives, helping them develop a more advanced cloud software management system.
