Reshaping maternal care with fetal monitor Femom.

Biorithm

In 2018, Biorithm tasked LOAD with creating a mobile app that would act as a bridge between mothers and a fetal monitor, allowing for data retrieval and transmission to a backend platform. This presented an opportunity for us to further establish ourselves as a medical device manufacturer in the e-health industry while allowing our team to develop a valuable tool for expectant mothers. The app was required to facilitate the following process: 1. **Patient Registration**: The physician inputs the patient's information into the platform and schedules a virtual care plan. 2. **Mom Kit**: The patient receives the Femom monitor along with necessary Point of Care devices like BP monitors and glucometers. The patient then downloads the Patient mobile app. 3. **Virtual Visits**: The patient attends virtual appointments based on a preset schedule (date and time), where they can record their physiological data and symptoms in the app. 4. **Notification & Review**: The system automatically categorizes the patient based on certain criteria, confirms results, and sends receipts if necessary. To simplify this complex project, we outlined key guidelines for the mobile app, including: - A generic layout (splash screen, menu, workspace) - Login page with authentication and password recovery - Home page featuring general information and instructions - Educational resources - Patient questionnaire - An area for data from the Femom device via Bluetooth, with the option to add or modify it manually before sending it to the server - A results visualization section - A chat feature for communication between doctor and patient - Calendar for managing appointments - Alerts and notifications section - A labeling area compliant with Medical Device CE Marking regulations. This necessitated that the design, development, and testing adhere to the ISO 13485 standard for medical device development, as well as IEC 62304 (pertaining to software) and ISO 14971 (related to risk management).

Cefaly

Cefaly is a health products company based in Europe and America, focused on tackling the persistent issue of migraines through innovative therapeutic solutions. The name CEFALY is derived from the French word "céphalée," meaning headache, and the medical term "cephalic," which relates to the head. Since its inception in 2008, Cefaly has worked on enhancing its proprietary device, CEFALY DUAL, aimed at providing a safe, drug-free treatment for migraine sufferers. Although the exact causes of migraines are not completely understood, the device targets the trigeminal nerve, the largest and most complex cranial nerve associated with migraine pain. CEFALY DUAL is specifically engineered to modify pain signals in the trigeminal nerve, particularly its ophthalmic branch, located beneath the forehead skin. Cefaly challenged LOAD to create the best migraine management app in the world. LOAD successfully developed a mobile application designed to help patients track their migraine patterns and the treatments they use to either prevent or alleviate episodes. This app is particularly significant as it needs to be prepared to function as a medical device in the near future. Consequently, its design, development, and testing processes must adhere to the ISO13485 standard for medical devices and the IEC62304 standard for software, which can only be achieved by certified companies like LOAD.

Installing gas tanks at customers' premises using

Galp Energia

LOAD has been assisting Galp in enhancing a routine technical task that involves positioning gas tanks at customer installations. The primary aim is to meet all measurement and safety standards on-site through the use of Augmented Reality (AR). We've created a prototype for field testing to demonstrate the reliability of this innovative technology in aiding operations and sales teams in identifying new business prospects with minimal effort. This digital solution allows for the visualization of virtual safety zones around the tanks, ensuring they are installed correctly in accordance with local regulations and guidelines. Furthermore, customers can utilize this application to internally share AR images of the setup, verifying that the original configuration hasn't been incorrectly altered. In addition to saving significant costs and time for both our client and their customers, this product also facilitates the annual audits by the regulatory body overseeing the stations and carries out essential measurements of the fuel deposits prior to construction.
