One Utility Bill

One Utility Bill (OUB), a company based in the North East that consolidates utility bills into a single monthly payment, approached us to modernize their outdated website and enhance their content management capabilities, believing their Enterprise HubSpot Package was not fully utilized. Our goal was to improve the website's design and user experience while empowering the OUB team to manage content effectively. This involved supplying tools for generating pages, organizing content blocks, and creating case studies and blog posts, all while maintaining a cohesive style. We optimized their HubSpot package and utilized HubL to cater to the specific requirements of different departments. Beginning with discovery workshops, we followed OUB's brand guidelines and integrated hand-drawn elements and emoji-style icons to convey their friendly approach. We developed high-fidelity clickable prototypes to confirm an intuitive layout. Custom animations were created for the main B2C and B2B pages using Adobe After Effects and exported as Lotties for smooth scaling. Utilizing HubSpot CMS and HubL, we established a platform that harnessed HubSpot's marketing tools and analytics. This led to the creation of visually appealing, conversion-driven templates and landing pages, streamlined marketing processes, and the provision of valuable insights for data-driven decision-making. Ultimately, we delivered a revamped website that aligns with OUB's branding, facilitating easy content updates and the creation of new pages with pre-designed sections and components, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Callie By Safepoint

In 2017, Safepoint broadened its safety offerings to encompass personal safety devices by collaborating with specialists in jewelry design, wearable technology, and app development to help people live without fear. As the need for personal safety solutions increased, Safepoint recognized the necessity for an intuitive mobile application for its new wearable device. Layers was chosen to develop a user-friendly UX/UI for the app, catering to users of all technical backgrounds while ensuring strong safety features. Our process began with thorough discussions with Safepoint’s team to grasp the project objectives and the target audience. Utilizing their internal research, we developed user stories and mapped out the user journey to pinpoint essential touchpoints and identify areas for enhancement, which led to a more intuitive user experience. Design review sessions with stakeholders helped refine our strategy, emphasizing simplicity and clarity in the onboarding experience. We improved the emergency alert process and added a status feature to provide real-time safety updates. Establishing a unified visual identity was crucial, and our style guide incorporated typography, color schemes, iconography, and imagery that represented Safepoint's Callie brand. We produced wireframes and interactive prototypes, enhancing the user experience with subtle animations. Layers Studio successfully created the Callie Personal Safety App with an intuitive interface that promoted security and confidence. The streamlined emergency alert system and real-time status updates ensured quick responses and provided peace of mind. The consistent visual identity bolstered the app’s accessibility and reliability, aligning with Safepoint’s mission to enable individuals to live confidently and without fear.

OneXP

OneXP is a sports application designed for coaches, providing functionalities like client management, scheduling, communication, accounting, and instruction. Our objective was to create a unified brand identity, design a user-friendly app interface, and produce a promotional video for OneXP. During brainstorming sessions, we explored various names and ultimately chose 'OneXP' due to its connection to enhancement and performance. We crafted a contemporary visual identity featuring italicized text to suggest momentum and developed mockups to illustrate the brand's look within the app. Collaborating with the client, we outlined user stories that informed our design approach. Wireframes depicted interactions for key features, including the dashboard, booking system, messaging, calendars, lessons, and video editing capabilities. These wireframes were then transformed into a clickable prototype for testing and refinement. In the high-fidelity design phase, we integrated branding into the app and created an interactive prototype. We also produced a promotional video for the app launch, blending footage of sports activities with app screen recordings. Using the Boris FX Mocha plugin, we tracked the app displays on a phone screen to achieve realistic movement. We successfully revitalized and designed the OneXP sports app, creating a new visual identity and a seamless user experience. The promotional video effectively highlighted the app's features, positioning OneXP as a top choice for sports coaches and their clients.
