The City of Massillon's website was significantly outdated and did not function on smartphones, presenting a major challenge for the city. They required a more effective way to disseminate news, events, and city-related information to residents, local businesses, and visitors in a user-friendly manner. Additionally, it was essential for the website to be accessible to individuals with both permanent and temporary disabilities, ensuring compliance with Section 508 requirements for government websites, as well as reaching all residents and visitors. At LaBella Creative, we began by organizing the approximately 200 pages of the site into an easily navigable site map, taking into account three primary groups: residents, businesses, and visitors. We categorized the pages accordingly, alongside government and departmental sections. We also identified the need for a secondary navigation menu at the top of each page to allow residents to quickly access tasks like payment processing. During this evaluation, we discovered additional pages and content that should be incorporated into the new site. After arranging the pages into a site map, we proceeded to create prototypes for key pages to demonstrate content layout. Following city approval, we designed the website interface using their existing branding, developing a color palette that matched their identity and ensured visual accessibility. The pages were then constructed utilizing this color scheme alongside content from the current site and some new additions. From the outset of the design phase through to the final development, we prioritized accessibility. As a result, the City of Massillon now has a website that is easily navigable on desktops, smartphones, and tablets for its diverse residents, visitors, and local businesses, giving the city confidence that the site is accessible to everyone.

Justice for Jun Website and Branding

Jun's battle against racial discrimination has been a noble effort for over five years, yet it lacked a dedicated online presence. Previously, Jun's supporters relied on various websites and crowdfunding platforms, missing a centralized place to educate people about the case and gather support. In their quest to rally more organizations and individuals behind Jun, they felt a well-designed website would reflect the case's strengths and the exceptional backing it has garnered. At LaBella Creative, we swiftly created a color scheme and logo that encapsulated the tone of this fight for justice. We utilized visuals, such as photos and logos of supporting organizations, to design engaging and user-friendly layouts that amplified Jun’s powerful narrative. Prominent red buttons on a navy blue backdrop encouraged visitors to “Donate Now” and “Subscribe,” aiming to inspire greater action and awareness for the cause. The Donate page included a donation form and QR codes to facilitate contributions from supporters worldwide. A News section was implemented to keep followers informed about the latest developments in the case, using the user-friendly WordPress platform for updates. LaBella Creative also arranged a hosting solution that ensured the site loads quickly across the globe, whether accessed from San Francisco or Shanghai. Through these efforts, LaBella Creative has established a solid, professional online presence for Justice for Jun, leading to increased ongoing donations from around the world and significantly improving funding rates compared to earlier initiatives. The website has enabled Justice for Jun to garner more support and raise awareness about the case's significance.

For more than 50 years, Ralston Instruments has developed pressure calibration equipment and systems for various applications, streamlining critical pressure testing, maintenance, and repair processes. As the company grew and expanded its offerings to include digital gauges and enhanced calibration products, it required marketing materials to showcase these products to businesses and distributors.
