The client is a division of a large EU healthcare network that specializes in providing medical and dental services, ensuring that all individuals receive comprehensive, patient-centered care regardless of their financial situation, insurance, or employment status. In 2019, due to a lack of technical staff, this medical organization partnered with Kodevent to modernize its technology. At that point, their website was built on ASP.NET Web Forms, which was outdated and not scalable, causing the initial page load to take around 10 seconds and leading to a loss of visitors. Kodevent's first task was to change the technology stack for their web application, transitioning from ASP.NET Web Forms to ASP.NET Core Web API on the server side, and from Knockout.js to React on the front end, along with a complete UI/UX redesign. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Kodevent assisted the client in adapting to remote work by migrating them to Microsoft’s Azure environment, which facilitated secure file sharing, and created a tool for migrating their data from the on-premises database to the cloud. Through collaboration with Kodevent, the organization enhanced its technological capabilities to better align with its objectives. Following the upgrade, website speed improved nearly 100-fold, with the initial page load now taking about 100 milliseconds. Website analytics indicated a 32% increase in visitor traffic. Kodevent continues to have strategic discussions with the client's Practice Manager to support ongoing technological improvements and the effective use of technology within the organization.
