ABOUT KITRUM

Engineering Partner for Ambitious Products

Kitrum is a custom software development firm that creates intricate web, mobile, and AI-driven products for funded startups, growing businesses, and mid-sized companies in the US, Europe, and Australia. We offer two delivery options: comprehensive product development, which covers everything from initial discovery and architecture to launch and post-launch support; and dedicated team augmentation, where Kitrum engineers integrate directly into a client’s existing team and workflow. A significant 84% of our engineers are senior specialists. Project teams are formed with experts in backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, and solution architecture, and each project is supported by a dedicated project manager. Our portfolio includes completed projects such as online banking platforms, AI knowledge agents, predictive monitoring systems, marketplace solutions, and enterprise data migrations. We can deliver MVPs within 7 to 8 weeks for pre-existing solution tracks, and develop more complex custom systems within 6 to 8 months from the ground up.

AI Agent for Efficient Project Knowledge Managemen

GetMeo

Client: GetMeo — A B2B AI knowledge management product developed under Kitrum's internal innovation program. Project Overview: Kitrum created GetMeo, a B2B AI agent that establishes a continuous, searchable knowledge layer for organizations by integrating data from platforms like Slack, Notion, CRM systems, emails, documents, and web links. It utilizes a unique HybridRAG architecture that combines VectorRAG and GraphRAG for context-sensitive data retrieval. The Challenge: Current AI knowledge management solutions either catered to large enterprises with limited data control for smaller teams or used single-method retrieval (like vector search alone), leading to a loss of context between queries. The product had to address knowledge management for project-focused corporate teams, ensuring data security, tool integration, and retrieval accuracy were top priorities. The Solution: Kitrum developed GetMeo with a unique HybridRAG structure: VectorRAG allows for rapid semantic search within extensive datasets, while GraphRAG introduces relationship mapping among data points, maintaining context during queries. This dual approach overcomes a common issue in AI knowledge tools—accurate retrieval without losing context. The project was completed by a four-member team in three months, including one month of collaborative development with the primary AI technology partner to refine the underlying model. It successfully integrates with Slack, Notion, CRM systems, emails, documents, YouTube, and web links, and active development is ongoing for enhanced features. The Results: Tech Stack includes AI/LLM integration, HybridRAG (VectorRAG + GraphRAG), Slack API, Notion API, and CRM integrations.

B2B Vendor Management Platform & White-Label

Unbench

Client: Unbench — A B2B hiring and vendor management platform located in the USA. Project Overview: Kitrum transformed Unbench from an internal prototype into a comprehensive B2B vendor management platform that links businesses with verified partners in technology, marketing, and recruitment. The platform now has over 26,000 users from more than 1,000 companies and features a 48-hour matchmaking system, and it is prepared for white-labeling. The Challenge: The unstructured management of partner communications and specialist requests led to delays and misunderstandings. To evolve from an internal tool to a public B2B platform, a complete re-architecture was necessary to provide support for two separate user workflows: the demand side (companies in need of talent) and the supply side (agencies supplying talent). This required the integration of verification processes, trust mechanisms, and foundational monetization strategies. The Solution: Kitrum completely redesigned the platform using a modular and scalable architecture. Key features included an automated matchmaking engine, a manual company verification system, a custom in-platform chat, JWT authentication with audit logging, and adaptable engagement models that support bench exchange, direct hiring, and agency collaborations. Built on technologies such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, and MongoDB on AWS, the platform ensures horizontal scalability, utilizes background queues for asynchronous operations, and implements GraphQL batching for improved performance during peak loads. The initial version of the core platform was delivered within three months. Technology Stack: React, Node.js, Express.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ELB).

Matchmaking Platform Re-Architecture & QA

Unknown

Client: Tawkify — a personalized matchmaking service based in the USA, established in 2012. Project Overview: Kitrum redesigned Tawkify's matchmaking platform and established its Quality Assurance (QA) department from the ground up. The project included modernizing the platform, redesigning business logic, optimizing client onboarding, and implementing complete test automation, all organized within a two-week sprint cycle that aligned with Pacific Time in the US. The Challenge: Tawkify's platform operated through four microservice applications catering to matchmakers, clients, and back-office employees. Two main issues hindered growth: matchmakers struggled to manage their workload efficiently, and the duration between client sign-up and the first date was excessively long, negatively impacting retention. Additionally, the platform lacked a proper QA framework, leaving releases with unknown risks. The Solution: Kitrum restructured the platform for better scalability, improved the client onboarding process, and refined the matchmaking business logic. Simultaneously, Kitrum developed a comprehensive QA department, implementing automated testing with Cypress and TypeScript, conducting nightly functional and integration tests, performing regression testing for each bi-weekly release, executing accessibility testing, and conducting vulnerability assessments on GraphQL APIs. All testing processes were integrated into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from the outset instead of being added after the fact. The Results: Technology Stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PHP, Figma, TestRail, Cypress.
