Background: At the end of 2019, a famous restaurant group in Tokyo was hosting a three-month event across its locations. As the Marketing Team promoted this event on social media, they grew worried about a decrease in engagement rates after three to four weeks, suspecting that creative fatigue had begun to set in. They enlisted Kindred to help find a solution. Solution: Kindred proposed conducting A/B Testing on various creative strategies (14 in total, including two video formats) to keep the event fresh and appealing to audiences. This involved a paid social media campaign designed to quickly identify the best-performing creatives. These effective creatives would then be used throughout the rest of the paid campaign and guide future content creation for both organic and paid posts. Results: The paid campaign achieved a 66% increase in click-through rates in Month 3 compared to Month 1 of the promotion, leading to a total of 349 restaurant reservations. Additionally, the Marketing Team gained valuable insights for future content development.

The newly opened Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora, situated in a Japanese Onsen Town, launched in January 2020. Unfortunately, just a few weeks later, the coronavirus pandemic forced the hotel to close temporarily from April to June. During this closure, the hotel collaborated with Kindred to enhance bookings and revenue through digital channels. Kindred adopted a comprehensive strategy that included managing OTA platforms and initiating paid media campaigns. They offered insights and recommendations to improve visibility and revenue simultaneously. As part of the paid campaign strategy, Kindred focused on relevant search engine keywords to enhance brand recognition and exposure. Ongoing optimization was performed based on the effectiveness of various ad texts, keywords, and target audiences to ensure efficient budget utilization. As a result, after several months of optimization and management, the hotel’s monthly revenue from this channel soared by 2,227% in just one month. Additionally, in the first month compared to the third, the cost per click and cost per conversion on the PPC channel decreased by 25% and 59%, respectively.
