OUR STORY
Founded in 2005 and based in Manchester, Kilogramme is an award-winning character animation studio specializing in diverse animated content, from short films and title sequences to museum installations and commercials. The studio takes pride in guiding clients to effectively communicate their messages through both humorous and serious storytelling, utilizing traditional 2D, motion graphics, and 3D animation techniques throughout the entire production process. Co-directors Claire Grey and Jon Turner bring extensive industry expertise—Claire with a BAFTA nomination and experience dating back to Cosgrove Hall Films, and Jon with a unique background combining classical studies and digital animation. Their leadership has fostered collaborations with prominent clients including the BBC, NHS, and the British Council, resulting in acclaimed projects recognized by industry awards and festivals.
