Supporting the world's best healthcare system

Kent NHS

We were already managing 10 websites for the NHS when they reached out to us to create an online portal for their staff. The need for a new digital solution emerged from the necessity for their teams to efficiently access and handle large volumes of personal data while adhering to newly established data protection regulations—something their old paper-based system struggled with. We developed a fully automated system that safeguards the NHS from possible violations of data protection laws, which could have led to hefty fines from authorities, as well as negative media coverage from any major data breaches involving one of the world's leading organizations. We now provide hosting and ongoing support for the new system and will continue to assist them with all digital matters.

Demonstrating passion for food online

Parson's Nose

Historically, Parson's Nose recognized the potential of digital technology and sought to do more than just launch an eCommerce website; they aimed to also maintain a journal, share recipes, and document their journey. This vision led them (before the partnership with Kayo!) to establish two distinct websites—one for informational content and another for eCommerce. Consequently, they ended up using two different Content Management Systems (CMS), which required them to learn and manage both. Upon approaching Kayo Digital, we conducted research and suggested a headless eCommerce strategy. This would allow them to harness the full functionality of an eCommerce platform (specifically Shopify) while also utilizing a custom CMS to enhance their marketing and promotional efforts. This solution not only resolved our client’s ongoing issue but also revealed additional opportunities during our research, such as implementing an intuitive system for customers to choose between "click and collect" or "local delivery"—options that were not available out-of-the-box. Thus, we merged the two websites into one. By employing a headless eCommerce model to link Shopify with our Rocket platform, we created a site that offered complete structural and visual flexibility while leveraging Shopify’s robust eCommerce capabilities. We collaborated closely with Shopify App Developers, using their API to provide a fully branded cart experience for our client’s visitors, while also integrating third-party features to minimize development costs. The website transformed into an essential asset, assisting in scheduling delivery or collection times. This illustrates how technology can be intelligently utilized to enable a business to focus on its core operations. We now provide ongoing digital marketing services for Parson's Nose to continuously enhance their e-commerce strategy.

Website in a week that saved 150 jobs

Watts Farms

The Coronavirus lockdown left them with warehouses brimming with food and beverages at their 10 locations in Kent, Essex, and Bedfordshire. With the food service sector coming to a standstill, restaurants, hotels, and schools began canceling their orders, threatening to waste a £400,000 stockpile of food and putting 150 jobs at risk due to this significant loss. In urgent need of a solution, they reached out to us, requesting the seemingly impossible task of launching a website within a week to start selling to the consumer market—aimed at preserving their stockpile and maintaining employment. While the website was under construction, Watts Farms was busy organizing delivery logistics, repurposing their vans and staff for home deliveries instead of commercial ones. The website integrated their e-commerce and logistics, enabling complete automation. Just a month after fearing that their family business might go under, they successfully processed 14,000 orders through the website. They not only saved the initial £400,000 stockpile but also received additional orders as demand increased. During the lockdown, online sales became their exclusive market channel until their commercial operations could resume, but they intend to maintain both markets in their future business strategy. We have also assisted Watts Farms with their digital marketing, ongoing developments, and various ad-hoc tasks.
