If these files were malicious, there was a high likelihood they could disrupt the datacenter right before or on the event's first day. An attack during this critical period could turn the organization’s most important business day into chaos, forcing everyone to revert to manual processes—a substantial inconvenience for clients and a significant strain on resources. With only a few weeks left before the event, the IT leaders decided to enlist Kalles Group to help scan the servers for these suspicious files. Public institutions are appealing targets for such attacks due to their accessible systems, which connect with a diverse audience through various channels and devices. This particular client had multiple system types open to a vast clientele, creating several potential vulnerabilities. With thousands of clients, there were countless login opportunities for hackers. Kalles Group was tasked with scanning hundreds of on-site and cloud servers for malware. The team concluded that they needed to implement anti-malware and anti-ransomware software configured to provide results on a centralized dashboard for easier management.
