GoCPS: Student Admission Site
Chicago Public Schools (CPS), one of the largest school districts in the U.S., aimed to develop a website to help parents and students find the best schools in their vicinity. To meet this requirement, CPS collaborated with JS Tech, a full-stack web development team with expertise in creating web applications for startups and early-stage companies. JS Tech partnered with CPS to understand their goals and how the website would align with their overall marketing strategy. During the design and discovery stages, they worked together to identify the target audience, set project objectives, and outline the site's features and functionalities. They also assessed the website in relation to CPS's audience, making adjustments to ensure it effectively met market needs. The project involved a team of experts from JS Tech, including skilled developers experienced in web applications, a talented UX designer who utilized Figma to create detailed user experience designs, and a project manager dedicated to ensuring smooth communication, timely updates, and adherence to the project timeline and budget. This collaboration resulted in the launch of a user-friendly website that offers parents and students an accessible platform to find suitable schools nearby. CPS expressed satisfaction with the final product and praised JS Tech for their expertise in developing web applications. The website can be found at http://go.cps.edu.
