Philip Weikel is the proud owner of Weikel’s Bakery, which has locations in La Grange and Brenham, Texas. Initially a small, family-run business, the bakery expanded, prompting the need for the Recipeasy application. This solution was developed to efficiently handle large orders by consistently producing high-quality batches for their customers. Philip and co-founder Nick approached Jackrabbit Mobile to create a system that would address various operational challenges, such as securely storing and sharing recipes across different locations, ensuring batch consistency regardless of size, training staff effectively, and properly labeling finished products for appropriate storage and rotation. The Recipeasy app effectively tackles these issues, reducing training costs—one of the largest expenses for any food production business—minimizing food waste through accurate production and labeling, and ensuring clients receive consistently high-quality batches. swift Screen - Hybrid Mobile App for Screenings

Chelsea approached us with the idea for a mobile app named Swift Screen, aimed at helping screeners perform screenings and gather data more quickly and effectively on site. The screening team was already utilizing the SPOT VS camera, which takes 23 measurements of the eye within seconds and can detect six common vision impairments in infants as young as six months. Therefore, it was essential for their data management and reporting system to be equally sophisticated. With Chelsea and the Half Helen team's extensive experience after conducting over 45,000 screenings for students in Hawaii and Texas, we successfully created both an Android and iOS application (using Google Flutter) that reduced screening times by 56% and provided clear results, instructions, and referrals to parents when necessary. Through a simple and clean user interface design, we employed hybrid development with Google Flutter to create a single code base for both platforms, leading to a cost saving of 30-40% for our client.
