About the Team

OUR STORY

At PODFather, we specialize in proof of delivery software trusted by prominent companies like Tarmac and Bidfresh. Our dedicated team of 40-50 software engineers expertly maintain and enhance our core product using PHP and JavaScript, alongside Android and iOS mobile apps. My personal passions—motorcycling, travel, and tinkering—fuel a spirit of adventure and innovation. This drive is reflected in projects like RealRider, a motorcycling social media platform featuring safety tools in partnership with the NHS. My journey also includes contributions to Gift Experience Scotland, Internet Creation, and McEwan Fraser Legal, where I combined technical skills and user experience insights to develop and support bespoke digital solutions. Together, our work embodies a commitment to quality, creativity, and reliable technology.

Portfolio

EXPEREE

Unknown

Experee was a worldwide experience retailer that offered over 30,000 experiences globally. I developed this website from the ground up in collaboration with the company’s director. This project was long-term and required extensive man-hours along with various technologies. We began with the design, aiming for a style similar to their other product, Gift Experience Scotland. Once the design was finalized, I built the site entirely from scratch using a PHP framework called Yii. I deployed the site on AWS with auto-scaling servers, which allowed it to automatically add additional servers during peak loads to ensure adequate resources and cost-efficiency. I then focused on SEO, optimizing the content, establishing a new blog, and implementing a backlink strategy, which was a significant challenge for a site of this size. Ultimately, the website was very successful, but the company faced financial difficulties and went into liquidation. Despite this, I consider the site one of my greatest accomplishments, though it’s unfortunate that it is no longer available for people to see and use.
