The Project: In 2013, iVelopment joined forces with Snap Recordings to support their cloud transition goals. What began as a small portion of the project quickly expanded, with us taking on the development, maintenance, and support of the entire system. Since then, we have consistently improved the platform by adding new features to enhance the experience for both clients and voice talents. Significant projects we developed include Snap Recordings' platform and integrations with key partners such as Comcast and Broadsoft.

US Trendy

Our client, UsTrendy, is a global fashion community that empowers consumers and highlights emerging designers. Through UsTrendy, shoppers can find and buy unique fashion pieces from various corners of the world. With a marketplace showcasing hundreds of thousands of distinctive items, UsTrendy makes fashion accessible by enabling consumers to have a say in which designs are produced and promoted each season. Background: UsTrendy encountered a significant challenge when migrating from a Magento-hosted platform to a custom-built, open-source solution. Rebuilding the site from the ground up while preserving the original platform's functionality posed major obstacles, as the new system needed to fulfill the same robust requirements as Magento. The Project iVelopment addressed this by adopting a simplified approach, constructing the new platform with a custom MVC framework that began with CodeIgniter and was progressively enhanced. The system was crafted to operate efficiently on PHP 7, utilizing advanced features such as namespaces, the PHP password API, and traits. Composer and PSR-4 were employed for automatic class loading. For the admin panel, we used a pre-designed theme that provides extensive options and flexibility. The MySQL-based database maintains simplicity and employs views for specific admin panel listings. This strategy resulted in an efficient and powerful platform tailored to UsTrendy's requirements.

Whisker Graphics

Whisker Graphics, our client, was established in June 2008 by Whitney Beard, a graphic designer passionate about paper and crafting. The company is well-known for creating Divine Twine, a lively and colorful baker's twine, and is proud to offer the largest variety of colored baker's twine available. Over the years, Whisker Graphics has expanded its offerings, launching Bitty Bags in Spring 2011—fun, food-safe paper bags in a range of designs and sizes. This expansion included new products like Sweet Stickys, Petite Stickys, a solid-colored version of Divine Twine, and Colored Tags, all of which complement Whisker Graphics' extensive selection of craft supplies. With the introduction of Divine Twine, Whisker Graphics transformed the industry by providing an unparalleled range of colored baker's twine. In 2011, they launched Bitty Bags, followed by popular items such as Sweet Stickys, Petite Stickys, and Colored Tags, solidifying their status as a primary source for online crafting supplies. The Project team conducted a thorough audit of the Whisker Graphics website, implementing essential security updates and enhancements for optimal and secure operation. We upgraded the Magento platform and added custom features to improve the site's performance and efficiency. As new issues arise, we promptly address and fix them to maintain the system's optimal functioning. Our collaboration with Whisker Graphics continues to strengthen, and we look forward to partnering on future endeavors.
