About the Team
OUR STORY
ITPenthouse embarked on a meticulous journey upgrading their extensive Laravel application from version 5.5 to 12, understanding that a direct leap risked breaking critical functionalities. Handling a complex, multi-service platform with numerous endpoints, the team adopted an incremental approach, systematically upgrading one version at a time, supported by comprehensive testing and thoughtful deployment strategies. A major challenge involved removing the deprecated Dingo API package, replacing its features with native Laravel tools to ensure maintainability. Throughout, they prioritized detailed auditing, dependency management, and gradual rollouts across services to minimize risk. The four-month project, led by senior backend engineers, culminated in a modern, robust system leveraging Laravel's latest capabilities, achieved without any production disruptions—demonstrating the power of disciplined, incremental upgrades.
