Transforming SIBUR's CRM for Enhanced Sales

SIBUR, a prominent petrochemical firm, encountered a significant challenge due to its outdated CRM system, which was obstructing their sales processes and customer interactions. To tackle this issue, they collaborated with ITFB Group, specialists in CRM modernization. ITFB Group was entrusted with overhauling SIBUR's sales processes and developing a functional, user-friendly CRM system that aligned seamlessly with their business objectives. This project acted as a pilot within SIBUR's larger IT transformation strategy, utilizing agile development methods. The team from ITFB Group prioritized creating a smooth user experience, redesigning the CRM's front end with Vue.js/React.js to provide a modern, intuitive interface for all users. They incorporated a set of components for quick interface development, facilitating efficient design. Understanding the value of user feedback, ITFB Group integrated their insights into the system. Design and migration of data warehouses at MTS

Data migration may be necessary when updating software, switching to a new platform, combining databases, or transitioning to the cloud. In this context, the ITFB Group outlines how to design data warehouse architectures, migrate from non-target systems (such as SAS and Teradata) to target systems (like Greenplum and Hadoop), and create ETL processes. Objective MTS, one of the top three telecommunications companies in Russia, encountered the challenge of migrating data from SAS and Teradata to Greenplum and Hadoop. To successfully carry out this project, they required experts capable of performing the data migration while ensuring the security and integrity of the system remained intact. One major challenge was migrating ETL processes from the SAS and Teradata data warehouses to the new Hadoop and Greenplum environments. The team needed to fully adapt and rewrite these processes in a different programming language and develop mechanisms for data loading from all sources. Another challenge was the performance of the ETL processes. The team optimized modifications to the data model and table structure while also revising their data loading methodology. This optimization involved reevaluating the index structure, breaking large tables into smaller ones, enhancing the query structure, and implementing various strategies to boost ETL performance. As a result, the team successfully integrated the data sources and improved the data model, table structure, data loading methods, and queries. The time required for various processes—such as data retrieval, processing, and loading from numerous sources, along with data analysis and reporting—was cut by 50%. The system is now capable of handling vast volumes of data, including 60,000 terabytes of storage, 14 million events per second, and 100 terabytes of data daily (equating to 700 terabytes weekly and 33,600 terabytes annually).

Development of the Credit Bank of Moscow (MKB) mob

The Credit Bank of Moscow (MKB) mobile application was developed by the ITFB Group's development team in response to an urgent need to add new features to the bank's Android apps and create new ones for iOS amidst the sanctions. To address this, we began by gathering comprehensive information about the existing systems for both platforms. This allowed us to understand all active processes and formulate accurate development hypotheses. One significant challenge we encountered with the Android app was the underutilization of code testing capabilities. To improve this, we opted to adopt a new architecture and implemented a fresh technology stack that includes Kotlin, Coroutines, Koin, SDK, MVVM, Swift, and MVP. These changes enhanced our development process. We also integrated tools for analyzing and verifying code quality early in the development phase. Regarding the iOS app, we faced challenges due to sanctions that led to the blocking of many Russian banking applications and restrictions on their production. To navigate Apple’s new moderation guidelines, we implemented SSL pinning technology to verify the authenticity of requests and prevent tampering. This was accomplished using self-signed certificates created in a specific mode. Despite the hurdles posed by Apple's revised review process, we successfully launched and maintained the bank’s apps on the App Store. Following the integration of the new architecture, technology stack, and code analysis tools for Android, the app's quality improved, stability increased, and the development process accelerated. The new MKB mobile app now ranks fifth among the leading mobile banking apps (according to Markswebb), with over 100,000 downloads from the App Store.
