Thought Leadership
The iPR Group collaborates with Zoho to create, write, and implement the Zoho Canadian SMB Report, which is published twice a year. In its second year, this survey aims to gauge the sentiments of over 1,000 Canadian small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The report serves as a thought leadership initiative that provides Zoho's key customers with essential data covering various aspects of small businesses. A major objective is to establish an ongoing index that regularly tracks SMB sentiment for comparative analysis. Below is a sample media pitch note:
**Embargoed 2023 Report: Canadian SMBs Stay Positive Despite Facing Inflation and Reduced Business Confidence**
I'm reaching out to see if you would be interested in a pre-briefing with the Country Head of Zoho, along with early (embargoed) access to relevant data. This non-promotional briefing will offer an in-depth look into the report's findings on SMB sentiment regarding business outlook and performance. We can also arrange for a Canadian SMB owner who is a Zoho customer to join the briefing to share insights about their outlook for 2023 and how they're managing challenges related to interest rates, inflation, a potential recession, and more.
**Key Findings from the Report:**
Businesses are maintaining their staffing strategies, with 70.1% reporting no changes to their hiring plans, 25.8% planning to hire, and just 4.1% anticipating layoffs. Although hiring plans have decreased by 17.6% compared to the last survey, there is also a reduction in the number of layoffs being planned. Respondents remain optimistic about their growth prospects, with 62.1% expecting growth ranging from 1% to over 20%. This includes 38.2% anticipating a growth of 1-10%, 15.4% aiming for 10-20%, and 8.5% expecting growth exceeding 20%.
Please let me know if you are interested, and I will provide available slots for the media briefing.
