ABOUT INNITORFractional CTO for regulated startups
Innitor offers fractional CTO services and technical guidance for non-technical founders operating in regulated sectors such as healthtech, fintech, and mental health. My name is Robbie Cronin, and I am a CNCF maintainer with a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Over the past ten years, I have developed production systems that support hundreds of millions of users. I founded Innitor after encountering numerous founders making significant progress yet struggling with contractors and agencies without anyone on their team who truly understands engineering.
Here’s what I provide:
- **Fractional CTO**: I become part of your team on a retainer basis, participating in standups, performing PR reviews, making architectural decisions, and facilitating board communications. This offers senior technical leadership without the hefty $400K salary.
- **Technical Due Diligence**: I conduct independent assessments of codebases and infrastructure for both founders and investors, providing clear documentation for non-technical stakeholders.
- **Architecture Review**: I assess system designs prior to scaling, identifying weaknesses that may fail under increased load and outlining solutions.
- **Compliance Preparation**: I assist with standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, and Cyber Essentials. I have guided a company through ISO 27001 certification and developed HIPAA-compliant systems from the ground up, managing technical controls while you focus on the audit.
I work with companies ranging from seed to Series B stages, typically with 1-50 employees, where technical decisions play a crucial role. Based in Melbourne, I collaborate with clients from around the world.
