Our client hired InfoPathways to expedite their readiness for CMMC Level 2, ensuring they could continue participating in U.S. Department of Defense programs. Following a swift assessment that uncovered significant gaps in both technical controls and documentation necessary for audits, InfoPathways collaborated closely with the client's IT team to implement hands-on solutions and create a clear plan for remediation. This partnership enhanced security across various areas, including identity and access management, perimeter and remote access, vulnerability management, secure baselines, endpoint protection, encryption, backup and recovery validation, and centralized logging/monitoring. Simultaneously, InfoPathways developed the compliance documentation required for passing reviews—creating policies and procedures, mapping controls, and monitoring remediation through a Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)—while also aiding in readiness initiatives like incident response planning and conducting a tabletop exercise. As a result, our client was able to meet the self-certification deadline of 12/31/2025, establish a robust evidence library, and prepare for a successful 3PAO audit expected by 12/31/2026, all while delivering the project under budget.

Digital Transformation saves mature Biotech

A contract research organization (CRO) collaborated with InfoPathways to upgrade a predominantly paper-based setup and create a secure, flexible technological foundation to facilitate data-heavy research activities and international teamwork. InfoPathways started with a thorough Infrastructure Evaluation, which included on-site assessments, an evaluation of current hardware/software and key digital assets, as well as interviews with various job functions to gain insight into workflows, challenges, and operational risks. Utilizing these insights, InfoPathways developed a prioritized transformation roadmap and then implemented the modernization in close partnership with the client's internal IT team using a co-managed approach (involving two on-site IT personnel and one remote resource managed by InfoPathways). The initiative encompassed a complete network reconstruction across five mixed-use lab and office buildings (introducing new routers, switches, and wireless access points while enhancing connectivity between buildings), a full Microsoft 365 implementation, and the migration of organizational data to the cloud to enhance availability, version control, and resilience. Cybersecurity and reliability measures were embedded throughout the process, with ongoing vulnerability management and continuous IT and security oversight as the environment progressed. The project started on September 12, 2018, and is still ongoing, with a documented project value of $812,591 over the past four years. The updated infrastructure and cloud-based digital workspace now supports over 200 users, including remote employees and those on the five-building campus. Ultimately, this modernization has decreased operational risks and enabled Bioqual to scale and collaborate securely during rapidly increasing demand, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
