Creating a user-focused digital presence for FVRL
The Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL), launched in 1930 as the first regional library system in North America, is currently the largest public library network in British Columbia. Catering to over 810,000 residents across 26 locations, FVRL is driven by a mission to inspire imagination and fulfill dreams, along with a vision of enhancing community well-being through improved access to knowledge, ideas, and experiences. The library champions lifelong learning, open access, diversity, innovation, and intellectual freedom—principles evident in its services and workforce. To better serve its vibrant communities, FVRL embarked on a comprehensive redesign of its public website. The goal was to create a modern, accessible, and user-friendly platform that effectively highlighted the range of FVRL’s offerings. They sought an innovative, adaptable, and cooperative partner to assist not just with implementation but also with strategic planning. Through consistent and open communication, we established a strong collaborative relationship that fostered knowledge-sharing and co-creation. The FVRL team noted their appreciation for the value we added to the project, feeling more informed and empowered by the end. Together, we established a flexible, scalable, and user-centered digital presence that supports their ongoing growth and community impact.
