University of West Florida

Opportunity: Like many universities around the world, the University of West Florida (UWF) faced enrollment declines across all student categories due to the ongoing uncertainties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. While UWF regularly conducts seasonal recruitment campaigns, idgroup identified a chance to refresh the University's messaging and tailor it to connect more effectively with its diverse student population—not just first-time college enrollees. Approach: Our objective was to spark interest in the academic programs at UWF for all student types: first-time college students, transfers, international students, and graduates. The campaign was themed “University for You,” highlighting the distinct advantages that UWF offers to various student groups. We proposed a mixed media strategy aimed at reaching the university’s audience directly while also guiding existing visitors to conversion pages on the website. We customized ads and creative content for each target audience, placing them on relevant websites aligned with search keywords related to education options. Results: The UWF Spring 2022 Recruitment campaign attracted 883 visitors to the application page, resulting in 168 submitted applications—a remarkable 195% increase compared to the previous spring. The campaign achieved strong view-through rates for its videos and generated click-through rates that significantly surpassed industry benchmarks. This campaign exemplified how creative and effective messaging, combined with a targeted, high-quality digital strategy, can lead to genuine engagement from target audiences and drive conversions for desired actions both online and offline. Pensacola International Airport

We embraced the “fly easy” brand promise to help people feel more relaxed. In 2020, the landscape shifted dramatically as both business and leisure travel plummeted. Following an unusual tourism season in Pensacola, idgroup partnered with the leadership at Pensacola International Airport. Our primary focus was to effectively communicate and uphold the “fly easy” promise. We aimed to enhance the customer experience and boost passenger numbers, particularly enplanements in our service area. Our initial messaging addressed passengers' concerns about health and safety while reconnecting them to air travel in an authentic, enjoyable, and relatable manner. This approach also re-engaged the local community through appearances by local business figures and notable personalities. By curating content, we fostered greater engagement, while promotional contests helped us expand our database and establish direct communication with local leisure, business, and military travelers. Our digital marketing efforts improved the airport's online visibility and response to customer reviews, while CX research provided insights into passenger and community perceptions. Experiential brand art and wayfinding graphics further enhanced the customer journey. Our community outreach aimed to develop partnerships and positioned the airport as a gateway to the Gulf Coast and a vital economic asset. As a result, in 2021, Pensacola International Airport welcomed 2.3 million passengers—a record that surpassed the previous high from 2019 by 22%. Know Child Abuse Campaign

Gulf Coast Kid's House

Understanding child abuse is key to preventing it. How can we engage the community to alter their reactions and responses to instances of child abuse? The Challenge Last year, during the selection process for idgroup’s 2020 Brand on Us™ initiative, Executive Director Stacey Kostevicki and her team at Gulf Coast Kid’s House presented alarming statistics regarding child abuse in Escambia County, Florida. She revealed that one in every ten children in the area experiences some form of abuse and aimed to change this by educating 10% of the local population—a research-based “tipping point” for facilitating large-scale social change. Concerned by these figures and hopeful for a positive impact, idgroup and its Brand on Us™ partners unanimously decided to grant Gulf Coast Kid’s House the 2020 funding. The GCKH team had already created a free 30-minute online training course designed to help community members identify, report, and reduce child abuse. What they needed was widespread visibility—and for idgroup, that meant a High Impact Campaign. The Results The Know Child Abuse campaign has yielded significant results. More than 1,948 individuals have completed the training, and over 212 organizations are in the process of training or have finished it. Additionally, GCKH has raised over $30,000 through the Know Child Abuse Campaign. Services Provided This High Impact Campaign included a campaign logo, campaign standards, landing page design, collateral materials, print and digital advertisements, custom photography and video, and social media content.
