Custom web development
Spencer LLC is the fastest growing custom cabinetry builder in North America, based near Seattle, Washington. They focus on heirloom-quality cabinetry while providing the highest level of customer service within their sector. As a family-owned business, they’ve developed a highly efficient operation, but their website was the exception. The site was enormous (over 100 pages), created using HTML, lacking mobile optimization, difficult to navigate, and appeared outdated. Newer technology and modern design trends had rendered their website obsolete. We thoroughly enjoyed this project, with one of our main challenges being managing the extensive content and crafting a coherent plan to reorganize it. In addition to visually appealing design, we aimed to create an easy way for visitors to request pricing or reach out to Spencer with inquiries. Given the beauty of their cabinetry, the new website needed to reflect that aesthetic—clean, crisp, and captivating. There was no shortage of content; however, we needed to create emotionally engaging material that would convert visits into quote requests. Spencer's uniqueness in the cabinetry market inspired them to feature a distinct page called "Book of Secrets," which showcased their successful approach. Interestingly, this page became one of the most visited on the site. For service-oriented businesses, several crucial features can influence whether a visitor makes a call or leaves the site. We ensured that essentials like a prominently displayed, clickable phone number, contact forms, calls to action, and optimized pages for mobile experiences were all included. The design process required extensive brainstorming, including pen, paper, whiteboards, wireframes, and various tools from Adobe’s Creative Suite, all prior to the actual construction of their new website. Ultimately, they now boast what they consider the best website in their industry.
