Truppe - Rebranding
This case study examines the transformation of Truppe, previously known as Amore Palha, from a bakery focused on a single product into a scalable cookie brand in Pelotas, Brazil. Initially limited by its focus on one item, the brand encountered challenges as it began to diversify into cookies, brownies, and other gourmet treats. Its previous name and visual branding lacked adaptability, consistency, and impact on store shelves. The rebranding efforts aimed to establish a solid foundation for the future by enhancing strategic naming, positioning, visual identity, and packaging design. Market analysis showed that while product quality and emotional connections were strong, there had been minimal investment in professional branding within the local gourmet sweets market, leaving opportunities for differentiation. The newly chosen name, Truppe, is easy to remember, adaptable, and not tied to a specific product, allowing for sustainable growth. The brand is now positioned as both innovative and accessible, turning everyday snacks into shared moments of happiness. A bold visual identity, along with a vibrant color scheme for flavor identification and custom illustrations, enhanced brand recognition. Packaging was reimagined as a strategic asset, featuring a brand-first design hierarchy, distinct product categories, and unique colors for each flavor to improve visibility and shopper navigation. The project culminated in 17 redesigned packages, successfully repositioning the business for growth in retail, e-commerce, and franchising, while increasing perceived value without losing accessibility.
