Wild Rides Television

Prairie Rose Productions LLC

Prairie Rose Productions sought to merge rich Western history with engaging rodeo, Western, and contemporary content through their streaming service, Wild Rides TV. While the Prairie Rose team focused on creating and producing various TV series, the Codelation team was tasked with designing and building the streaming service platform. Utilizing the Zype video content management system, we developed a specialized backend CMS to organize and distribute the WRTV series online as an OTT service. Codelation aimed to fulfill the need for a software platform specifically designed for Prairie Rose Productions' Wild Rides TV content. The goal was to provide audiences with a mix of rich Western heritage and entertaining content. To achieve this, a backend CMS and OTT application were necessary for effectively distributing and organizing the Wild Rides TV series. The primary challenge for the Codelation team was to create a backend CMS capable of managing and disseminating the video content from Wild Rides TV as an Over-The-Top (OTT) application. The streaming service officially launched online in early December 2022, thanks to the combined efforts of our skilled project manager and our committed team of developers and designers. Wild Rides Television is now available on platforms such as Apple iOS, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon App Store, Roku TV, FireTV, and Google Play Store, enabling access on various TV brands like Panasonic, TLC, Sharp, Philips, and Sony. While Wild Rides is still in development, the Prairie Rose team remains dedicated to creating new content for their streaming service. Our partnership with Prairie Rose Productions continues, and we are committed to supporting the growth of Wild Rides TV.

Terrain Finder

Terrain Finder LLC

Terrain Finder was developed as a platform for landowners to publicly showcase their properties for outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, making it easy for adventurers to plan trips to these locations. Landowners can customize their listings based on the types of game on their land, the rules for visitors, and the pricing of adventure packages. Adventurers, in turn, can explore various land listings to find the perfect fit for their travel needs. The team recognized a gap in the market for a platform that connects landowners willing to share their land for outdoor pursuits with adventurers seeking suitable sites. Landowners faced difficulties in publicly advertising their properties alongside specific details such as available game, visitor regulations, and pricing, while adventurers had trouble finding a variety of listings for comparison. After establishing brand guidelines, the Codelation team began developing the Terrain Finder website using React, focusing on creating a user-friendly experience for searching and filtering land listings, as well as designing land profiles that would effectively gather essential information for comprehensive listings. Following the first phase, the design team revamped the homepage to make it more engaging and added additional details on how to list land and generate profit. Terrain Finder also collaborated with a third-party signage company to create property signs featuring TerrainFinder branding, directing users straight to the landowner's listing. Codelation set up a Shopify store to sell these signs.

Cow Herd Appraisal Performance Software

North Dakota State University

North Dakota State University's Extension Service reached out to Codelation to update their CHAPS software, which serves as a herd management tool for beef cattle producers. Originally designed to generate detailed reports on each animal's performance and lineage, CHAPS helps producers make informed decisions regarding breeding and management strategies. It also features tools like a breeding calculator and a feed intake calculator to enhance producers' operations. Codelation's development team focused on modernizing the existing calculations and aimed to create impactful reports with updated visuals to enhance user experience. The revamped system delivers comprehensive reports on individual animals, enhanced with visuals and charts, which facilitate better decision-making for producers. Our dedicated team worked diligently to elevate the CHAPS software to contemporary standards, ensuring an outstanding user experience. We carefully researched and updated the existing calculations, resulting in an effective and visually appealing herd management software designed for beef cattle producers. Today, CHAPS stands as a versatile and powerful tool aiding both small-scale and large commercial operations in efficiently managing their herds. "Codelation was instrumental in developing CHAPS Online, which we have now released publicly. We had attempted to transition CHAPS to an online format for years without success. Without Codelation, this achievement would not have been possible," said Jennifer Ramsay, CHAPS Data Research Specialist.
