Mastering Magento with MXR

Unknown

MXR Imaging is a prominent provider of diagnostic imaging equipment and supplies in the U.S. They operate a B2B e-commerce platform for their clients to place orders. However, the website was built on an outdated version of Adobe Magento Enterprise, which was no longer receiving security updates, presenting a significant risk to both customers and MXR. Therefore, MXR Imaging sought assistance from Global Triangles to upgrade their e-commerce site to the latest version of Magento. During the assessment, our expert team discovered that MXR was not utilizing many of the unique features of the Enterprise edition, and those they did use could be easily replaced with affordable plugins available in the community edition. Additionally, MXR had a complex and unreliable custom integration with their SAP ERP system. We proposed that they transition to the community edition, which would save them over $50,000 annually in licensing fees. We also advised rewriting the SAP integration to enhance its stability and reliability. The challenge was that MXR's contract for Magento renewal was set to expire in 60 days, creating a tight deadline that seemed difficult to meet. Nevertheless, the team of certified Magento developers at Global Triangles successfully transitioned MXR's e-commerce store to Adobe Magento Community 2.x and also restructured the SAP integration to align better with the new version. Consequently, MXR now possesses a faster, more secure, and feature-rich e-commerce site that is significantly more cost-effective. Additionally, Global Triangles collaborated closely with MXR to ensure that the new platform addressed their business requirements, conducting user testing and recommending enhancements to improve the user experience. As a result, customers can now shop more efficiently on MXR's website.

Empowering startups

Unknown

Aguagente was a startup aimed at delivering unlimited purified water directly to customers' homes. Their approach involved installing water purification systems in clients' residences and charging a low monthly fee that covered all service and maintenance. However, they struggled to find an affordable, ready-made ERP solution that would cater to their specific business needs. They aspired to create a paperless operation that offered exceptional service and could be managed through a tablet. Unfortunately, existing systems fell short of tracking filter replacements, client payments, and service calls without incurring costly customizations. Aguagente required a solution that would address their current business demands while supporting future growth. They looked for a partner that could grasp their requirements and help realize their ambitious vision within a reasonable budget and timeline. Global Triangles collaborated with Aguagente to identify the startup’s immediate needs, define a minimum viable product (MVP), and conceptualize a comprehensive ERP system. We developed a modular strategy to create a custom ERP solution, employing a rigorous sprint methodology to incorporate only the essential functions required for launching the business, thus delivering a functional ERP system within weeks. Over the course of three years, we continued to expand the system by adding new modules and enhancing existing ones as the business evolved. Today, Aguagente operates with a fully functional ERP system, alongside a client app and a technician app, and has established a reputation for outstanding service. As initially envisioned, the business is effectively managed from a tablet.
