Website design for WRc Group
WRc Group operates within the water, waste, and environment sector and previously had four distinct websites that required merging and transitioning to a new domain. We collaborated with them on their digital transformation initiative, ensuring that the newly developed website presented the combined content in a user-friendly format. This consolidation necessitated the creation of an enhanced "Services" section, as the list of services had become quite extensive. Our goal was to facilitate quick and easy user access to the necessary services, while also emphasizing WRc's commitment to environmental issues and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. During the planning stage, we first prioritized the messaging before determining what users should see and do, which allowed us to outline the user journey and develop the sitemap. Subsequently, we created wireframes to visualize the content hierarchy and interface, particularly in the Services section. For the design, we incorporated the brand's dark and light color palette to create contrasting areas throughout the site. In certain sections, we added elements inspired by the logo's curved shape and included subtle transitions to enhance user engagement. These transitions provide depth to each page, improving the overall user experience. Additionally, we provided guidance on the technical aspects of the migration, meticulously planning and executing a comprehensive redirect strategy for the successful transition from old domains to the new one. Merging the four websites also involved significant content creation, with our marketing team working closely with WRc on this process. We developed multiple engaging content sections for the new website, ensuring the content effectively supported the user journey and messaging while educating users and conveying the intended narrative.
