Website design and development
Connecting libraries, students, and faculty in the digital era, Technology from Sage, a London-based leader in library technologies, offers an online platform that facilitates collaboration among these groups. Their cutting-edge solutions optimize workflows, improve accessibility, and enhance the contribution of libraries, benefiting prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, the University of Bristol, UCL, and the University of Queensland. By conserving time and resources, they empower universities and students around the globe.
Creating a cohesive brand identity was essential for Technology from Sage, especially after a series of acquisitions. The goal was to unify both new and existing products under a single brand while maintaining a visual connection to their established offerings. The rebranding had to highlight their contemporary, user-focused approach, distinguishing them from competitors that emphasize only product features.
To differentiate Technology from Sage, we centered our attention on the users—librarians, students, and faculty—who rely on their technology, while subtly showcasing the organized information systems that are foundational to their services. We crafted a vibrant visual language that goes beyond standard photography, incorporating custom multimedia illustrations. These illustrations serve various functions: they create a unique brand aesthetic, clarify complex messaging, and can be animated or used as icons to emphasize the key advantages of the technology.
For the website, we designed a responsive, accessible platform that ensures a smooth user experience. The clean, modern layouts combined with gentle, subtle animations evoke the quiet yet vital activities found in a library, such as turning pages, stacking books, and sorting through filing cabinets. This design approach reinforces the brand’s connection to the library ecosystem, even within a digital context.
