Increasing Readership & Website Views for Vancity

Vancity expressed a desire for their content to resonate as authentic and relatable while also achieving strong performance metrics. During the Discovery phase, we explored what this meant, clarifying the series goals, understanding the target audiences, and determining the value we needed to deliver in our content. This involved identifying key pain points to address and establishing the appropriate voice and tone. We collaborated with Vancity to pinpoint exactly what they wanted to promote, ensuring that the topics we covered would align with their messaging—a ‘message-market match’—that would provide real value to the audience while showcasing Vancity's offerings. From our findings, we created an initial list of topics and proposed a group of skilled writers with relevant expertise who could best represent the series. Our agency is fortunate to have a network of top-notch writers and journalists, so we knew exactly who to recommend. After receiving approval on our topic suggestions, we commenced our work, producing a first and then a second series of blog posts that performed well and engaged the Vancity community. These included an essential budgeting guide for couples, a compelling first-person narrative about managing finances while supporting loved ones, and a personal account of learning to manage credit and make difficult choices. We are currently developing our third series and are committed to creating ‘radically real’ content that brings pride to both Vancity and our team. Reaching New Online Audiences - Reid's Automotive

Reid’s aimed to expand their B2B audience with a brief campaign, but faced the challenge of operating in a niche market, exclusively partnering with three automotive brands: Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep. To address this, we decided to create a landing page that would allow users to quickly grasp Reid’s specific offerings and make informed decisions. With limited time and budget to work with, the key question was which distribution channels to utilize—should we choose social media, Google Search ads, or display ads, and how should we distribute the budget? We believed that the answer to the "what channel to use?" question lies in a deep understanding of the target audience. Thus, we conducted extensive audience research and developed user personas. This enabled us to gain clear insights into the target demographics, as well as their needs and desires. We crafted a landing page that resonated with the company's branding, values, and messaging, while addressing the audience's challenges. Our research indicated that Reid’s audience included automotive shop owners and managers who were time-constrained, stressed, and in need of quickly locating the right parts at competitive prices—services Reid’s offers. Therefore, we emphasized Reid’s reliability and helpfulness in our messaging as we formulated a comprehensive strategy for Google Search and Facebook ads, along with creating relevant ads and landing page content. We allocated a limited budget to both Google Search and Facebook ads and ran the campaign briefly to identify the more effective channel. Google Search emerged as the clear front-runner for Reid’s, prompting us to focus solely on it for the rest of the campaign without increasing the budget. Tailored Content Strategy for TrendTex Fabrics

We started our collaboration with TrendTex by examining and evaluating the brand's existing content and marketing approaches, as well as analyzing its competitors. We collaborated with their team to develop two new, targeted marketing personas for their B2B and B2C audiences. Given that the company had greater engagement and a larger follower base on Instagram, we proposed an Instagram-centric strategy for both audience segments, focusing on increasing follower count as a primary goal. A refresh of the brand's social media aesthetic would enhance consistency, drive follower growth, and boost engagement with both new and existing audiences. Additionally, we recommended increasing the frequency of posts with more dynamic content, high-quality images, tutorials, Stories, and short videos. We also advised TrendTex to engage more actively by commenting, liking, and sharing content from their audience, as well as promoting user-generated content through giveaways and contests. Quilters and sewers love spaces to share ideas, find inspiration, and showcase their projects, making this an easy opportunity for engagement. After establishing a robust content marketing strategy—including persona development, a channel plan, and a proposed content calendar—we began creating monthly sets of social content that catered to both B2B and B2C audiences.
