Transforming UrbanSim into an ML-Ready Platform

UrbanSim

UrbanSim is a platform owned by Paul Waddel, a prominent authority in urban analytics and a former professor at the University of California, Berkeley. This platform assesses statistical data and forecasts the most effective strategies for improved urban planning. However, Paul Waddel faced challenges in expanding the city planning platform, prompting him to seek assistance from Flyaps for its redevelopment. Through close collaboration with UrbanSim, Flyaps provided a machine learning-ready solution utilizing microservices architecture, cloud technology, and a contemporary tech stack. As a result, the city planning platform is now utilized throughout the United States and internationally, with anticipated expansions in the US, Canada, and Australia. It offers scalability and customization options for various locations via independent development pathways.

AI-Driven Sneaker Marketplace with Smarter Listing

HypeClub

About the client: HypeClub is a retailer located in New York that specializes in rare sneakers and streetwear, showcasing leading brands such as Nike, Jordan, and Supreme. Challenge: The client sought to evolve a basic prototype into a fully operational iOS bidding and asking marketplace for rare sneakers, striving to compete with major players like GOAT and StockX. They encountered problems with inconsistent product images and descriptions, a poorly suited payment system, and the necessity to showcase better deals than their competitors. Solution: Flyaps implemented AI algorithms to improve product images and automatically generate comprehensive descriptions. We also developed a system to gather pricing information from similar platforms, enabling users to recognize potential savings with HypeClub. Furthermore, we switched the payment processing from Stripe to PayPal to facilitate smooth transactions and immediate payouts. Results: Within six months, we launched an iOS app featuring a bid-and-ask model, AI-enhanced product listings, and an intuitive interface. The app allowed users to negotiate prices in real-time and compare prices across different platforms, positioning HypeClub as a competitive player in the sneaker marketplace.

Netspark Speeds Up Projects by 50% with Automation

Netspark IP & Telecom

NetSpark IP & Telecom is a telecommunications consulting firm located in Texas, USA. The company provides services through AT&T, a prominent global leader in telecommunications, media, and technology. However, as NetSpark IP & Telecom expanded, they encountered challenges due to a lack of proper tools for managing projects and client relationships. All processes, including project execution and tariff plan analysis for cost optimization, were performed manually. This approach required considerable time and resources, often involving up to ten employees just to determine the most cost-effective tariffs. To address this issue, we developed a customized CRM/ERP system that automated their back-office operations and removed the need for manual calculations. By collaborating closely with business professionals from the client’s team, we successfully launched the initial version of the system in a mere three months.
