Building a Self-Service Payment Dashboard

Zimpler aimed to improve their system by introducing a self-care administration dashboard. This dashboard provides users with the ability to manage their preferences, oversee transactions, and set notifications. To realize this, Flexiana focused on incorporating the new dashboard into the existing platform without interfering with current features. The main challenge was to integrate the dashboard smoothly into the intricate payment platform and align it with the existing build and deployment workflow. Flexiana's approach included developing an intuitive user interface and a customized backend. They utilized the current technology stack while making enhancements where necessary. To optimize the development and deployment process, they implemented continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using AWS services. The Self-care dashboard comprised two key components: an API for service communication and a user interface. These elements were packaged together to simplify deployment and ensure compatibility with browser security protocols. An authentication service was already in place for other areas of the platform, facilitating a seamless user experience. Flexiana adhered to the Twelve-factor app methodology, a recognized best practice for developing software-as-a-service applications. This methodology offered direction for organizing the code base, managing dependencies, configuring settings, and other essential elements, ensuring consistent deployment and monitoring across various environments, including development, staging, sandbox, and production.

Building a Scalable Payment Service for Starcity
