Yale College

Unknown

We have been working to transform Yale's digital resources by creating a new student-focused tool for its undergraduate college. The revamped yalecollege.yale.edu provides new and current students with a comprehensive reference of Yale-related information and easy access to essential resources for navigating their college lives. Our discovery phase involved direct research and conversations with Yale students to understand their primary needs from the website. These insights guided us to prioritize search functionality as the main entry point to a wide array of people, resources, and programs. The homepage also organizes important reference information regarding orientation, registration tasks, significant deadlines, and key dates on the academic calendar.

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs

Unknown

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs (CCGA) serves as a center of knowledge for foreign affairs experts globally, with their work being crucial and influential for individuals engaged in various levels of government and industry. Additionally, it functions as a public resource, offering free and complete access to their extensive collection of works for anyone interested in understanding global issues and the efforts being made to tackle contemporary human challenges. Fastspot was tasked with developing a website that effectively met the practical requirements of these diverse audiences while also connecting their experiences by addressing four key questions throughout the site: thechicagocouncil.org.

Maryland Institute College of Art

Unknown

Established in 1862, the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) stands as one of the oldest and most esteemed art and design schools in the U.S. Fastspot was tasked with designing a website that goes beyond merely discussing innovation to effectively showcasing the impact of creative thinking. Every detail of the MICA website, including scrolling, searching, and hovering over text, feels distinctive and seamlessly aligned with the site’s unique identity, which reflects the brand itself. These features wouldn’t fit in any other institutional website, making them particularly effective for MICA. mica.edu
