Our collaboration with Pressbox began before its acquisition by P&G, focusing on the development of their mobile app. Established in Chicago in 2013, Pressbox aimed to transform the concierge services sector. Users could place their dirty or damaged items in a locker and request service via the app. Pressbox would then pick up these items, deliver them to a third-party service provider, and return the cleaned and repaired items to the locker, notifying customers through the app that their items were ready for pickup. In 2018, P&G acquired Pressbox, leading to the integration of Tide Spin and Pressbox into Tide Cleaners. The business consists of two main elements: the physical lockers and laundry services, as well as the technology that coordinates these services via the mobile app. In its initial year, Pressbox recognized the importance of quickly entering the market while ensuring scalability to keep ongoing support costs manageable as the business grew. This scalability became crucial after the acquisition, as it was decided that the existing Tide Spin app would be replaced by the Pressbox app and rebranded as Tide Cleaners.
