Eyzee Consultants designed and implemented a Central Configuration Server to serve as a single source for application configurations, making it easier for developers while also offering design and recommendations for the structure of the configuration repository. Additionally, they facilitated the migration of existing distributed configurations into this centralized system. The move to centralization means that all client teams now rely on one source that consistently holds the active configuration, eliminating discrepancies and easing the management of application settings. Deployment processes have been greatly streamlined, simplifying the transfer of configurations between different environments. The ability to easily compare configurations has also sped up the deployment cycle. Updating application configurations has become straightforward and transparent, as a simple commit in the Git system allows for quick implementation of changes without complex procedures. Our solution is compatible with the client's technological stack, enabling them to expand the tool independently based on their specific needs. The system also provides complete auditability, ensuring that it is always clear who made changes and when, which enhances process transparency. The project sought to address the issues associated with the outdated Seagull simulator. The main goal was to create a state-of-the-art tool that could send individual messages using the Diameter and Radius protocols, as well as enable the formation of detailed test scenarios. These scenarios had to include various functions such as simulating voice calls, sending SMS messages, and reporting data traffic. Additionally, it was essential to ensure smooth communication with the client's evolving product, which required integration with REST APIs to support the development of sophisticated test scenarios. Eyzee Consultants led the creation of a robust solution by utilizing the Rammbock library and the advantages of the RobotFramework environment. The resulting tool was built from scratch to simulate various Diameter and Radius protocol scenarios. This innovative tool contains its own library for Diameter and Radius messages, along with specialized Python libraries that improve functionality and flexibility. A significant benefit of the new tool is its capacity to perform tests locally without necessitating further software installations on the test server—an important feature for production environments. Its versatility allows for the creation of dynamic test scenarios, where Diameter scenarios operate on data sourced from the tested platform via REST APIs. This not only improves testing efficiency but also positions the client as a leader in cutting-edge and comprehensive protocol testing capabilities.

The challenge stemmed from the client's complex microservices architecture for their online program. Replicating complicated scenarios in a local environment was difficult and required significant time, with new developers needing 4-6 weeks for setup. Essential elements included Oracle databases, Hybris CRM, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and four supporting microservices. While these components were accessible in testing environments, critical microservices were situated in the data flow's center, making local replication for each developer quite complex. Eyzee addressed this by utilizing HTTP and incorporating a custom header into NGINX on Kubernetes, which redirected requests to a local Wiremock-based application on developers' machines, serving as a gateway. With adjustable configurations, developers could concentrate solely on the pertinent project components. The client enjoyed benefits such as a reduction in onboarding time from weeks to just 2 days, a 2-4 times faster development process with immediate feedback, and the ability to reproduce errors instantly across environments. A deployable solution was created using NGINX and Docker images, leading to acknowledgment at an internal meeting attended by 600 DevOps employees.
