In 2018, the President of Flexible Fuels reached out to Executech to address a concern: his team had observed several phishing email schemes in their inboxes, which had gone undetected by their existing IT service provider. In 2019, the CFO of Allied Autos reached out to Executech regarding a serious issue: several employees' computers had fallen victim to ransomware. One employee inadvertently clicked on a harmful pop-up, granting hackers access to their servers and enabling the deployment of ransomware. Consequently, employees were unable to access critical files without paying a ransom. The internal IT team had failed to detect or prevent the breach and, worse yet, had not performed regular data backups. Aware of Executech’s excellent reputation for providing top-tier IT services, the CFO promptly contacted them for a risk assessment. Executech quickly dispatched a team of five technicians to address and rectify the company’s IT infrastructure. Within 24 hours, they installed a cutting-edge firewall and licenses on 320 devices across the company’s 14 locations. The team also identified the computer that initially propagated the ransomware—an oversight by the internal IT team. In just two business days, Executech completed a comprehensive upgrade of Allied Autos' cybersecurity measures, enabling the company to resume normal operations with enhanced protection and data backups.
