Roommate Finder Social Platform

Diggz

Diggz is a leading real estate social network in the USA and Canada that assists users in finding suitable roommates and apartments through an advanced matching system, facilitating communication with agents, and providing shared living experiences via subscriptions. ### Challenges After its initial launch with a basic version, Diggz encountered significant growth challenges. The influx of users led to the original system struggling to cope, resulting in search times that often exceeded 10 seconds. This necessitated a comprehensive update to ensure smooth operation as the platform grew. ### ErgoServ Solution Collaborating closely with Diggz, we addressed these challenges through an extensive upgrade plan, which included: - A Premium Subscription Model featuring enhanced communication tools. - A redesigned Browse Page for improved user-friendliness. - SEO and technical optimizations to enhance performance. - An updated Matching Algorithm utilizing user profile tags for improved roommate recommendations. - Integration of Mailchimp, implementation of IPQS for fraud prevention, and Stripe for seamless payments, while preparing the platform for Google Core Web Vitals using various APIs and MLS feeds. Our strategy employed Ruby, JavaScript, and Ruby on Rails, encompassing all aspects from business analysis and UI/UX design to development, quality assurance, project management, and documentation. ### Impact of the Solution Our collaboration with Diggz yielded remarkable outcomes: - **Improved Scalability:** Addressed scalability challenges using AWS and advanced technology, ensuring smooth handling of an increasing user base. - **Enhanced Server Performance:** Increased server efficiency. - **Better User Experience:** The introduction of new features and updates made the platform more enjoyable with a wider selection of apartments and co-living options. - **Stronger Security:** Implemented robust security measures to safeguard user data and mitigate fraud. - **Optimized Matching Algorithm:** The upgraded algorithm and adaptable admin panel enhanced the platform's functionality and ease of management.
