EMTAC stands for Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Thermal Assessments, and Certifications. It was created to become a leading laboratory and certification organization focusing on physical security products as well as electrical, electronic, and mechanical technologies. Initially founded in 2015 as a specialized test lab for Physical Security Products (PSP) in Hyderabad, the facility later broadened its scope to include Electrical and Electronics (E&E) product testing. Subsequently, the organization implemented its own certification scheme and achieved ISO 17065 accreditation as a product certification body. The laboratory now occupies over 14,000 square feet. In March 2020, EMTAC Laboratories was acquired by Vimta Labs Limited (www.vimta.com) and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
