Electromed - Data Synch & CRM Integrations

Electromed reached out to Emergent Software to integrate their current electronic business management system, Brightree, with their enterprise CRM, Microsoft Dynamics. At the start of the project discovery phase, Electromed had an asynchronous solution but was dealing with issues related to data synchronization, quality, and consistency, which led to increased workloads and prolonged processes. The company sought to prevent escalating data issues and needed a method to link multiple records for a single clinic location. Although the technology was available, Emergent needed to implement processes that would help internal users manage the data more effectively. Over a period of six months, the project involved creating a cloud-based service that assigns a unique key to records, enabling them to connect and merge into accurate and usable clinic data, thereby enhancing data integrity. This service now alerts users when a close clinic match is found, allowing them to either accept the existing record or create a new one for that location. Consequently, the data synchronization process has improved significantly, reducing the amount of incorrect data entering Microsoft Dynamics and allowing Electromed’s key team members to concentrate on higher-value tasks rather than manually fixing data errors. Emergent Software's adaptable delivery approach was crucial to the project's success. During the initial discovery phase, the team gained insights into the project’s goals and formulated a high-level design and delivery plan, which led to the identification of configuration challenges and unforeseen data issues that neither team anticipated before collaborating. It was essential to address these challenges, so both teams agreed to incorporate this additional work during the project’s progression. They entered the project with the understanding that uncovering complexities in systems and business rules is a common part of software development, and the trust established between them allowed the teams to adjust and tackle the various challenges encountered throughout the project.

Kalahari Resorts - Website Refresh & Umbraco CMS

Kalahari Resort & Conventions

After years of collaboration between Kalahari and Emergent to improve their existing Umbraco website, Kalahari decided it was time for an upgrade. They reached out to their reliable Emergent team to assist in developing a site that achieved three primary business objectives. With their web development partner in place, the next critical decision was selecting the most suitable Content Management System (CMS) for their business needs. Given Emergent's extensive experience with various CMS platforms, they sought guidance from their team of specialists. After evaluating all available CMS options, they concluded that the latest version of Umbraco would best meet their specific requirements. Kalahari was particularly drawn to Umbraco for its enhanced multilingual editing capabilities, the introduction of a new block editor, and its migration to .NET Core/5+, Microsoft’s latest development framework, which would future-proof their system and enhance site performance. With these robust new features, along with Umbraco's open-source (free) nature, it was an obvious choice. Kalahari then challenged the Emergent Software team to develop the new website before their Spring Break booking rush, providing them with just over three months to complete the task. The team rose to the occasion, resulting in a stunning website that allows Kalahari to fulfill their goal of creating a cohesive user experience across all their digital platforms. Emergent Software proudly partners with Kalahari and continues to collaborate with them to enhance their guests’ online experience continuously.

Phoenix Loss Control - Claims Tracking System

Phoenix Loss Control

The Emergent Software team assisted Phoenix Loss Control in a rapid 30-day project to migrate their entire legacy site to new virtual machines. Since the previous system was custom-built by another software vendor, the Emergent team had to quickly familiarize themselves with its intricacies while the migration was underway. Once the migration was successful, they collaborated with Phoenix Loss Control to implement a customized support process that prioritized tasks related to supporting, enhancing, and modernizing the new system's functionality. With a stable system in place and domain knowledge shared between Emergent Software’s Support and Development teams, they devised a strategy for the gradual modernization of the system utilizing advanced Azure technology, all while minimizing disruptions to business operations. Given the system's size and complexity, Emergent Software has assigned a dedicated team to focus exclusively on this project, emphasizing continuous development to improve usability and add value for the PLC team. Key outcomes of these ongoing development and enhancement efforts include improvements to the application that have helped the PLC team eliminate workflow inefficiencies, safeguard crucial data uploaded by their customers, and uncover new opportunities for application enhancements.
